Bored Ape recently announced the launch of its much-anticipated NFT collection with Yuga Labs. Titled Dookey Dash, the collection faced some last-minute delays, as confirmed by Bored Ape on Twitter.
The pass is part of BAYC’s next narrative expansion, “The Trial of Jimmy the Monkey.” Bored Ape says that the Sewer Pass lets owners of MAYC, BAYC, and other similar NFTs participate in the unique minting experience.
The reason behind the delay was stated to be some unexpected bumps that Bored Ape experienced at the last moment. The original plan was to run the Sewer Pass from January 17 to February 8. Dookey Dash, the new BAYC minting experience, requires users to possess a Sewer Pass.
As expected, the much-anticipated pass was released, and it created huge waves in the market. Yuga Labs announced that the Sewer Pass amassed over 4,000 ETH, amounting to 6 million dollars, in total sales within initial launch hours.
BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) or MAYC (Mutant Ape Yacht Club) were allowed to claim their passes on January 18. These users can now play Dookey Dash until February 8 to accumulate their score.
Yuga Labs and Bored Ape have segregated the Sewer Pass into four tiers. Currently, users are paying 1.3 ETH, or around 1,970 dollars, for a Tier 1 Sewer Pass. Similarly, the price of a Tier 4 pass is reaching as high as 420 ETH, or around 640,000 dollars.
According to the latest tweets by Bored Ape Yacht Club, the collection was only listed on OpenSea for secondary resale. Needless to say, the notion also gave a boost to the already popular collection. Given its ongoing demand, more users are bound to be intrigued by and involved with the Dookey Dash experience.
