When Cool Cats came out in late 2021, the project was one of the hottest at the time, managing to rake in millions of dollars in sales volume. However, things would go south quick for the famous profile picture project as internal wrangles led to its downfall. After months of turmoil, the founders of the project aim to get things back on track by rebranding, and assisting Cool Cats to recapture its top-dog status.
Revealing in a Tweet, the project says it is rebranding as it prepares to expand beyond Ethereum. Essentially, looking to offer support on a wide range of blockchain networks and bring interoperability to the feline empire.

Airdrops and Future Plans for Cool Cats
Moving forward, Cool Cats and Cool Pets NFT holders can expect to receive a free Fracture NFT airdrop. Robert Mehew, co-founder and Head of Content at Cool Cats, describes Fracture NFTs as “dynamic NFTs that enable a new storytelling experience via digital collectibles.”
Holders of the Fracture NFTs can expect to see them evolve as they complete various missions/journeys in the “World of Cooltopia,” while at the same time earning rewards for their efforts. Furthermore, the team has also revealed that Explorers NFTs will arrive later this year, and form part of a larger expansion for Cool Cats.
Explorers NFTs will feature customizable full-body avatars that can be used across different blockchain networks. Holders will also be able to import them into a variety of supported apps and platforms. The project has not revealed much information about Explorers NFTs. However, people in the know claim that they will be accessible across various layer-1 blockchains and layer-2 scaling networks, even those that aren’t compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
As stated earlier, Cool Cats is trying to reclaim its lost glory. At their peak in late 2021, the cheapest digital collectible cost about 14 ETH. According to the NFT Price Floor, the current floor price is 2 ETH. That is a drop of more than 85%.
