Good news for Louis Vuitton fans. Following the previous release of several NFT projects, the luxury fashion house has teamed up with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama to release a 10,000-NFT project in celebration of its 200th anniversary.
The Big 200 Celebration
While many fashion brands have launched collectables in the past, Louis Vuitton is taking things a step further by allowing fans to trade in their NFTs for physical items. The NFTs are predicted to be priced around 4 ETH, and in terms of art style, will probably lean towards the colorful and whimsical.
This is because the 93-year-old Kusama is known for her polka dot designs and her psychedelic infinity rooms. Consequently, making her a hit, especially online, where she has cultivated a dedicated following.
Kusama and Louis Vuitton collaborated about a decade ago and it seems history is repeating itself. The brand also seems excited about this new development, tweeting on February 3:
