According to data from IntoTheBlock, Shiba Inu (SHIB) has reached a new record with an all-time high number of addresses. As per the crypto analysis platform, the popular memecoin now has 3.54 million addresses. SHIB is witnessing a surge in activity, with addresses spiking 14.18% last week. July, in particular, saw a big spike in the number of addresses, with 115% weekly growth at one time.
Furthermore, non-zero wallets have also reached an all-time high of 1.24 million. Another interesting development is the surge in wallet holdings of between 100 billion and 1 trillion Shiba Inu tokens. This bracket of holders grew their SHIB portfolio by 52.65%. In US Dollar terms, this group holds between $1 million and $10 million worth of SHIB.

The surge in addresses may be attributed to rumors about Shiba Inu’s Shibarium network launching soon. Shibarium is one of the most anticipated launches in the crypto industry this year after being repeatedly postponed.
Is Shiba Inu’s Shibarium launching this week?
Popular crypto exchange KuCoin has taken to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that Shibarium could see the light of day sometime this week. The exchange asked the community if they were “pawsitive” for SHIB.
SHIB’s official X handle reshared the tweet and asked when the exchange would list Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) offspring tokens, BONE and LEASH. BONE token is also set to be the governance token for Shibarium.

However, KuCoin has also shared a cryptic image, which the SHIB community speculates, is a hint that the exchange could list BONE and LEASH on the 15th or 16th. However, we do not have an exact launch date for Shibarium, despite many rumors. At press time, SHIB was trading at $0.00001029, down 3.5% in the last 24 hours.
