Mythical Games has already achieved immense success in the web3 space with the wildly popular Blankos Block Party Game. Now, the company is taking its efforts to the next level with the launch of the Mythos Foundation, which will work to onboard new gamers and developers.
This foundation is made up of big names in web3 gaming, including Ubisoft, Krafton, Netmarble, Kakao Games, and much more, along with five companies that Mythical Games CEO John Linden says are not ready to be named.
This foundation also has some notable advisors, including Polygon Studios president Ryan Wyatt, 100 Thieves’ chief product officer Pete Hawley, and Animoca Brands Chairman Yat Siu.
What the Foundation Will Do
Thus far, the foundation has identified five key areas that it will focus on. These will include cross-chain infrastructure, NFTs and gaming economies, esports within the web3 landscape, policy creation with mainstream gaming platforms, and gaming guild support.
Another notable development on the Mythical Games front is the creation of Mythos DAO, its new decentralized autonomous organization. At the centre of this DAO is the Mythos token ($MYTH) which empowers its holders to vote on decisions to be made in the ecosystem and submit proposals. This token will also be the native asset for the Mythical Games NFT marketplace, giving it multiple functions.
