Iron Man will complete 60 years in October 2023, and Marvel has decided to celebrate that anniversary in the most trendy way. Per an announcement, the comic book and cinematic giant has partnered with Funko to launch physical and digital collectibles of the character via VeVe. The collection will go live on October 18, 2023, with 3,000 physical pieces. They are likely to cost around $150, and the digital avatar of the collection will resemble its physical look.

This is said to be the first Funk Gold premium collectible. Meaning fans can expect more such collectibles to be launched in the days to come.

Steve Nave from Funko has said that their approach is to enable fans to show off their most treasured IPs. Nave, the Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, has called it a perfect way for the brand to show its commitment to bringing fandoms to fans, irrespective of the form.

David Yu, the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of VeVe has said that the collaboration between the two allows VeVe to offer a physical counterpart by transcending all digital barriers. They are now looking forward to bringing one of the most beloved Marvel characters to life. David has also appreciated Funko for featuring collectibles that give fans a chance to engage in a unique experience.

However, most of it is under the radar of those who are concerned about the environment. Considering a lot of resources and energy are directed toward production, there are questions about whether VeVe will actually stand true to its previous commitment of being 100% carbon neutral. VeVe had also committed to offering grants to support environmental matters.

What now remains to be seen is the time VeVe will take actually to reach the target of 100% carbon neutrality.

Fans can also download the mobile application of VeVe to view more digital collectibles. This will give them access to additional features like trading and collection. Moreover, they will be able to browse rare comic books on the platform. VeVe sports an in-app social feed that allows users to share their collectibles with friends and followers on social media. The AR (augmented reality) function gives them a chance to see their favorite Marvel character live virtually and interact with them in 3D.

The Iron Man collectible goes live on October 18, 2023, in celebration of 60 years of the Marvel superhero. The physical figure measures 18″, also granting the buyer access to its digital collectible figure.

Iron Man remains one of the most loved Marvel characters among fans. Notably, it was the death of the same character in Avengers Endgame that left a silence throughout the movie auditorium.

The trend for the sale of physical and digital versions of the Iron Man collectible will make it more evident, with numbers and stats expected to come by the end of October 2023.
