Lamborghini, the luxury car manufacturing company, has announced ready plans to launch a non-fungible token car collection this week. The luxury sports car maker has teamed up with VeVe, a digital marketplace for premium licensed digital collectibles, to create the upcoming NFT collection.

Lamborghini To Launch A New NFT Collection

In a February 13 site publication, Lamborghini confirmed ready plans to launch a new non-fungible token collection in partnership with the Veve NFT market platform. The now highly anticipated NFT collection is slanted to mint this weekend, February 18.

Founded in May 1963, Lamborghini is an Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars and SUVs based in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Lamborghini is owned by the Volkswagen Group through its subsidiary Audi. The vehicle manufacturing company is renowned for manufacturing one of the most luxurious cars in the world, with its Lamborghini Veneno selling at roughly $8.3 million.

Lamborghini’s Metaverse And NFT Journey

Lamborghini announced its foray into crypto sometime in early January 2022. At the time, the carmaker partnered with the Swiss artist Fabian Oefner, as well as NFT Pro and Sotheby’s, to launch its first NFT collection known as “Space Time Memory.” The NFT collection gained massive traction.

In July 2022, Lamborghini, through its Vincenzo Sospiri Racing subsidiary, inked another partnership deal with GO2 NFT, a digital NFT market platform, to launch a program that certifies racing car parts. Vincenzo Sospiri Racing is a racing team backed by the Lamborghini’s motorsport department.

Later in August, Lamborghini moved forward with its venture into the world of non-fungible tokens. At the time, the luxury car manufacturer partnered with the NFT PRO and INVNT.ATOM, to launch a new NFT project called “The Epic Road Trip.” The NFT program aimed to give users a taste of car sports racing in the metaverse. It ran for eight months.

Earlier last year, Automobili Lamborghini announced a new collaboration with VeVe, a digital collectibles platform to tokenize Lamborghini sports cars as NFTs to the platform. Through this partnership, VeVe and Lamborghini are set to launch their highly awaited NFT collection this weekend.
