What is The Backwoods?

The Backwoods is a roguelite game that combines slash ’em up and shoot ’em up elements built on the Solana blockchain.

Central to the game is the Eldertree, a colossal tree that radiates arcane energy and is home to a variety of inhabitants, including humans and fantastical creatures, all of whom derive their life force from the Eldertree’s sacred $LEAF.

The Backwoods also introduces its Heroes NFT collection, each featuring pixel art with attributes determined by the character’s race, influencing their skills and abilities. These heroes use unique weapons to fight against demonic creatures to progress through levels and allow players to obtain powerful gear and earn gaming tokens, $LEAF and $SEED.

The game is currently in Closed Alpha, with access restricted by an access code distributed via X, Discord events, community collaborations, and in-person invitations.
