World spanning purveyor of sporting goods, Nike, has unveiled a grand new Web3 ecosystem. Dubbed .SWOOSH, the platform will provide a go-to hub for all its NFT apparel and token-enabled services.
Through the new .SWOOSH destination, Nike aims to provide an access platform for all its Web3 linked products, including the distribution of Metaverse wearables, NFT-backed clothing and token-gated experiences. All with a mind to expand deeper into the realm of the blockchain as we all hurtle into the mysterious territory of 2023.

The initial launch sees a beta version of the Polygon-powered platform arrive via the swoosh.nike URL to gradually onboarding users to the site via the distribution of access codes. Then, hosting a series of educational events in December as they target the non-crypto native mainstream, all before fully deploying the .SWOOSH ecosystem in January 2023 with an inaugural NFT drop.
Nikeβs new venture marks the latest move in an ongoing exploration into the magnificent world of Web3, with its first flirtation with the tech occurring almost a year ago with the acquisition of RTFKT which it has used to great effect with the launch of CryptoKicks footwear, as well as a series of NFT-backed apparel.
