Grease Monkey Games, the Australia-based studio behind the popular motorsport game Torque Drift, recently shared that they had faced staff turnover after announcing the integration of blockchain technology into its upcoming sequel, Torque Drift 2.
The move, which includes the use of NFTs, has resulted in the resignation of ten employees within a month, according to an interview with Arran Potter, Founder of Grease Monkey Games. Despite the setbacks, Potter is optimistic about releasing Torque Drift 2—currently in beta—by the end of the year.
However, the loss of key team members has posed significant challenges.
