Bitcoin Price Stable Post no Mention in Musk & Trump X Space

Crypto investors have wagered on many microeconomic and geopolitical events to bring about the Bitcoin bull run. One of these events was the interview between Elon Musk and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. However, crypto did not make it into the conversation, and markets have had small to zero movements.

The crypto market has zero reaction to the Trump-Musk X Space

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump did not mention Bitcoin (BTC) or crypto during an interview with X CEO Elon Musk on Monday evening. The interview is by far the most listened-to X space conversation in history. As of this time, the conversation has hit over 23 million listeners.

The interview did not go off without a glitch. The interview was delayed for over 45 minutes due to what Musk called a “massive DDOS (distributed denial of service) attack on X.”  Musk said of the DDOS attack, “As this massive attack illustrates, there’s a lot of opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has to say.”

The conversation lasted two hours and covered a wide range of topics, including illegal immigration, the economy, artificial intelligence, and global warming. Crypto missed out. Earlier, there were bets on Polymarket on what Trump would say during the X-Space, and one of them was crypto.

Polymarket users placed bets worth little under $5 million. Polymarket had 11 markets that covered crypto-specific words like “bitcoin” and “crypto” as well as other political topics like “civil war” and “censorship” and words “tampon” and “weird.” 

Trump ended up saying three of the words: “MAGA,” “illegal immigrant,” and “tampon.” Those who bet on “crypto” suffered the greatest losses because it held the most money in a losing market. During the speech, the chances of him saying the word dropped from 65% to 0%.

Now, there is an over $350M bet on “How many times will Trump tweet this week?”

At this time, the global crypto market cap stands at  $2.2 trillion, which is up 0.32% in the last 24 hours. Bitcoin (BTC) is worth $59,581.32 today, up 0.5% from an hour ago and down 1.1% from yesterday.
