Swiss investment bank, Credit Suisse, is taking strides with the Swiss Football Association (SFA) to kickstart a collection of NFTs supporting women’s football on July 11.
The digital collectibles, set to boot off on the Ethereum blockchain, will include 756 digital portraits of members acquirable through Credit Suisse’s digital banking application, CSX, starting from $167 and up to $11,000. The reasons behind the wide price spectrum include the collection offering three enticing packages SFA fans can’t refuse: physical artwork counterparts, meet-and-greet opportunities with iconic players, and a signed jersey.
Another Goal-Orientated Collaboration
The tactical move forging the partnership includes funding to propel the function of women’s football in Switzerland. The proceeds will be donated to the team and organizations supporting female football players — underscoring Credit Suisse’s same goal to accelerate women’s football within the country and promote young talents.
The fusion of sports and NFTs continues to pick up speed as iconic brands and teams embrace blockchain technology. Women’s football, above all, has been capturing significant attention. Last month, FC Barcelona teamed up with the OG NFT collection World of Women for a highly-anticipated second release of its ‘Masterpieces‘ collection, honoring the star player, Alexia Putellas.
The soon-launching SFA and Credit Suisse NFTs indicate a promising future for women’s football, presenting novel ways blockchain technology can aid visibility and growth.
