Following the success of last year’s celebrations, the GAM3 Awards is poised to honor Web3 gaming champions yet again. Concluding this year with optimism, voting for the blockchain gaming’s finest gears up on December 14.

Last year’s ceremony set a high bar of excellence, streaming live to an audience of 30,000 and witnessing more than 250,000 votes. This year’s aim? To top that in glory with more than 300 game nominations across 19 distinctive awards.

A prize pot of more than $2 million awaits this year’s elites, thanks to heavyweight industry giants sponsoring the event: Amazon, Magic Eden, Google, and Blockchain Game Alliance, among others.

The question is: Will Big Time, Illuvium, Star Atlas, Superior, Blankos Block Party, Metalcore, Gods Unchained, EV.IO, Shrapnel, Thetan Arena, League of Kingdoms, Brycent, and The Harvest hold onto their titles this time around, or will new gaming victors emerge?

The GAM3 Awards’ Fresh Arenas

GAM3S.GG, a beacon in this dynamic landscape, alongside the NFT frontrunner Magic Eden, is set to take the stage in recognizing well-deserved cutting-edge achievements that make the Web3 gaming ecosystem what it is today.

As new gaming titans emerge, seasoned champions like Shrapnel and Big Time brace for competition. The diverse palette of categories makes a return. However, this time around, three new segments are shaking up the contest dynamics, including ‘Best Fighting Game’, ‘Best Sports Game’, and ‘Best On-Chain Game’.

Before being tapped for the contest, all blockchain-centric games are undergoing assessments regarding numerous factors, including their user accessibility, core loop, visual appeal, enjoyment quotient, potential for replay, and the holistic gameplay experience offered. In order to be up for nomination, the games must be live and operating at peak performance. However, the ‘People’s Choice Award’ and ‘Most Anticipated Game’ categories are exempted from this rule.

The panel’s judgment, including ImmutableX’s Rachel Levin, Solana Foundation’s Matt Sorg, and Shima Capital’s Alex Wettermann, will carry 90% of significance, with the leftover 10% sourced from the community’s votes. Although, the awards ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Best Content Creator’ are entirely influenced by public opinion.

As the GAME3 Awards ceremony nears, the hype surrounding it intensifies. The ceremony is more than just a celebration but a turning point whereby Web3 games are recognized for their innovative advancements and contributions in the boundless blockchain gaming world.
