‘Illuvium: Beyond’ Hits the Blockchain

Illuvium, the blockchain-based gaming platform, has recently launched its newest addition, “Illuvium: Beyond.” Announced on March 9th, the game combines a PFP collection and NFT gathering game, featuring Illuvitars, hand-drawn representations of Illuvials in the Illuvium world.

Illuvitars are configurable avatars used as profile pictures in the Illuvium metaverse. Players can customize their Illuvitars with five accessory slots and special finishes. The first wave offered 25 Illuvitars purchased with ETH or sILV2 on the IlluviDex platform, where owners were able to resell them. “Illuvium: Beyond” points system is based on the Illuvitars’ rarity, known as their Illuvitar power, which is determined by their likelihood of being minted. Illuvitar’s power rating depends on its rarity and the rarity of the equipment it’s wearing. Players can permanently transform their Illuvitars by bonding them with items, as Illuvials connect predominantly with one of 5 elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Nature.

Illuvium is an Ethereum blockchain-based open-world RPG adventure game that utilizes the Immutable X network. Illuvium’s objective isn’t solely to provide a platform for showcasing Illuvitars; it also strives to offer a competitive experience. With the innovative points system in “Illuvium: Beyond,” gamers can compete globally and earn a rank on the leaderboard against other collectors.

“Illuvium: Beyond” Launches Wave One with 24 Hour Live Party & Extended Sale!

Illuvium organized a 24 hour live party for the “Illuvium: Beyond” Wave One pack release. The Wave One Extended Run sale, which started right after the end of Wave One, will last for the next three months. Each standard pack of the Wave One Extended Run sale includes a random Illuvitar, three accessories, and a bonus Tier 0 Illuvitar, while the Megapack includes one Rare Illuvitar.

Illuvium: Beyond’s gaming aspect revolves around collections and leaderboards. By adding owned Illuvitars to an album, users can complete collections. These collections may revolve around specific types of Illuvitars, equipped accessories, backgrounds, affinities, classes, or card sets. The higher the Illuvitars’ Power in the album, the more album points are earned. Completing collections also increases album points, however, there’s a balance involved, as collections have several milestones that earn points, so collecting many Illuvitars may be more beneficial than just a few powerful ones.
