Imminent Launch of Dookey Dash Sees Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs Soar

0

Earlier this week, Yuga Labs teased a new game, Dookey Dash, which has seen Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs sales spike. It’s not only BAYC NFTs but those of related projects that are required to participate in the game. Dookey Dash is a skill-based web game that requires a Yuga Lab’s associated NFT to participate. Top scores are likely to earn rewards, even though these details are yet to be disclosed.

A tweet shared on the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s official Twitter handle read:

The game is designed as an “endless runner.” It challenges players to get as far as they can by manoeuvring a cartoonish sewer environment. The overall objective is to pick up as many items as possible without falling or crashing.

That said, you need a Bored Ape Yacht Club or Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT to participate. Either of the two can ensure you receive the required Sewer Pass NFT and participate in the game, which is accessible via any web browser.

The story of BAYC continues after the first phase of this new adventure began last month with the “Trial of Jimmy the Monkey” and will continue throughout 2023.

You Need A Sewer Pass To Participate In Dookey Dash Game

From January 17 to February 8, owners of BAYC and MAYC NFTs can get a free Sewer Pass NFT. That serves as the key to playing the game. However, these Sewer Pass NFTs are also resellable. And this has fueled secondary market sales ahead of the launch.

Interestingly, the passes are based on multiple tier levels. The one you get depends on the kind of NFT you own. Some NFTs will get you a pass that can even add a bonus to your game score.

The next 24 hours after the announcement saw Yuga Labs’ associated NFTs spike in volume. According to CryptoSlam, Mutant Ape NFTs saw a 124% increase in sales volume. The volume of BAYC NFTs also jumped by 171%. And that of the Bored Ape Kennel Club by 134%. The coming bunch of NFTs will also have a role in the game.
