MetalCore, popular web3 mech-based action game, is set to enter its first public release phase with the launch of Season 1: MetalPunks Rhapsody on September 12.
This season marks the transition from closed beta phases to open access, allowing a broader audience to experience the game.
The season will introduce new content, including a focus on the MetalPunks faction, a new rewards structure, and several gameplay enhancements.
What to expect in Open Beta?
As MetalCore opens to the public, players can expect an in-depth exploration of the MetalPunks faction.
The season will provide narrative content that delves into the history and story of the MetalPunks, offering new missions and challenges that build on this theme.
The open beta will also feature competitive leaderboards, with players able to engage in various game modes, including PvX, PvP, and missions. Additionally, MetalCore has been upgraded to Unreal Engine 5, aiming to enhance the game’s visual quality and performance.
New Rewards Structure
Season 1 introduces a new rewards system with a total of 30 million $MCG tokens available for players to earn throughout the season.
Beyond this initial pool, an additional 50 million $MCG tokens can be unlocked by the community as they achieve specific milestones. These milestones will be reached in phases, with the first goal set at having 1,000 Bronze Tier players. Once this goal is met, the first 10 million $MCG tokens from the Bonus Pool will be added to the available rewards.
Each subsequent goal will unlock more of the bonus pool, encouraging community participation and providing additional incentives.
Premium Tiers and Gameplay Enhancements
The season also introduces premium tiers—Bronze, Silver, and Gold—that players can purchase using in-game currency.
These tiers offer varying benefits, including boosts in in-game credits, reduced repair times, and exclusive in-game items. Marks earned by players during the season can be converted into $MCG tokens at the end, offering further rewards based on gameplay performance.
Beyond the premium tiers, several gameplay enhancements are being introduced. The Missions system has been refined, with improvements to the First-Time User Experience (FTUE), making it easier for new players to get started. New missions, including PvP bounties, have been added to keep the content fresh and engaging.
The Lobby System has also been upgraded to support new features such as Barony Wars, where players can engage in 10v10 strategic battles against rival Baronies. This mode emphasizes team strategy and coordination.
In addition, the game now includes PvE Raids, allowing teams to cooperate in high-stakes missions that require careful planning and execution. Players can also choose to engage in either PvE or PvP modes on designated maps, providing a balanced and flexible gameplay experience.
