MetaMask Card Launches Holiday Challenge with Exciting Rewards

MetaMask and Linea are celebrating the holiday season by launching the #CryptoHolidayChallenge, a unique opportunity for users to showcase their experiences using the MetaMask Card. Participants in the European Union, UK, and Switzerland can win weekly rewards by sharing videos of their holiday shopping experiences with the card, according to linea.mirror.xyz.

Challenge Details

The #CryptoHolidayChallenge runs from December 4th to 25th, offering participants a chance to win 80 USDC each week. Users can enter by creating videos that demonstrate their use of the MetaMask Card, highlighting its benefits such as ease of spending crypto, security features, and inflation protection. The top 100 videos each week, selected based on creativity, quality, and engagement, will receive the USDC prize.

Participants do not need to complete a purchase to enter the challenge. Instead, they can share what they would like to buy using the MetaMask Card and how it would impact their lives.

MetaMask Card Features

The MetaMask Card functions like a debit card, allowing users to spend crypto at any retailer that accepts Mastercard. It leverages Mastercard’s global network and combines it with MetaMask’s security and Linea’s efficiency. Users can pay using USDC, USDT, or WETH, maintaining control over their funds until the point of sale.

This initiative aims to make crypto spending more seamless and empower users by eliminating the need for intermediaries. The card is currently available in Europe and the UK, with plans to expand to more regions soon.

Participation and Rewards

The challenge encourages participants to post their videos on social media using the hashtag #CryptoHolidayChallenge. Winners will be announced weekly on MetaMask’s and Linea’s social media channels, with prizes distributed within seven days of the announcement. No transaction fees will be charged for sending the prizes.

MetaMask and Linea hope to expand the pilot access to more regions shortly, providing more users with permissionless ways to spend and manage their crypto. Interested users can join the waitlist for future access.
