OKX, a Web3 tech leader, sponsors significant events during India Blockchain Week (IBW), scheduled for December at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield, Bangalore. As part of this week-long initiative, OKX will support Polygon Connect and ETH India, in addition to co-hosting two developer mixers. IBW stands as India’s primary series of Web3 and blockchain gatherings, intending to convene influential figures in the industry to represent the latest advancements in Web3.

Ankit Bhatia, Director of Product (Web3) for OKX, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at Polygon Connect. By utilizing the Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK), the main focus would be on OKX’s Web3 solutions, with particular emphasis on X1, the exchange’s advanced and secure ZK Layer-2 network built upon Ethereum. Additionally, Bhatia will contribute to a panel discussion entitled ‘Abstracting the Essence of Web3’.

Meanwhile, OKX will organize its own hackathon at the KTPO Convention Centre, Whitefield, during ETH India to support the advancement of its X1 zkEVM Layer 2 network. The top project concept involving X1 will receive $5,000 USD. Attendees at OKX’s booth, who mint a free NFT via the OKX NFT Marketplace, stand a chance to receive exclusive OKX-branded items like cricket balls.

Throughout IBW, OKX plans to run a giveaway for Indian users who follow OKX India’s X, download OKX Wallet, and fund their wallet with crypto. There is a prize pool of 2,000 MATIC tokens up for grabs at Blockchain events. Additionally, Thomas Chou, OKX’s Head of Product Marketing (Web3), will join an IBW panel discussion on December 7. In the second part of the discussion at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield, Chou will share Web3 product innovation techniques with panelists from Mantle, Kyber Network, Polygon, and Caliber.

OKX’s CMO, Haider Rafique, stated emphatically that the company places a premium on enhancing its bonds with Web3 businesses in India as well as around the world. By co-hosting and sponsoring IBW, OKX aims to foster connections with entrepreneurs, developers, and thought leaders who are invested in influencing the development of its Web3 innovations, such as the recently introduced X1 network. OKX is ecstatic to contribute significantly to the flourishing Indian developer community, he added.

OKX launched a cricket-themed ad campaign, ‘Be a Crypto Player’, right after the announcement, aligning with the CWC final match between Australia and India in Ahmedabad. The campaign aims to establish OKX as a major Web3 participant in India by demonstrating its entire Web3 product range. The advertisement, which is available in both Hindi and English, coincides with the release of Hindi functionality to OKX’s Web3 wallet.
