OpenAI announced the launch of ChatGPT Enterprise on Aug. 28. This new offering provides enterprise-grade security and privacy, unlimited higher-speed GPT-4 access, longer context windows for extended inputs, advanced data analysis capabilities, and customization options.
Since its introduction nine months ago, ChatGPT has been adopted by over 80% of Fortune 500 companies, according to corporate email domain statistics. OpenAI reports a high demand for a secure and simplified deployment method from these organizations.
Early adopters include industry giants such as Block, Canva, Carlyle, The Estée Lauder Companies, PwC, and Zapier. These companies are utilizing AI tools to improve communication clarity, speed up coding tasks, answer complex business queries quickly, assist with creative endeavors, and much more, according to OpenAI.
ChatGPT Enterprise ensures data security and privacy with customer data ownership and control, SOC 2 compliance, and encrypted conversations. Its admin console allows easy team management, domain verification, single sign-on (SSO), and usage insights for large-scale deployment.
In addition to security features, ChatGPT Enterprise offers advanced capabilities such as unlimited access to advanced data analysis, formerly known as Code Interpreter. This feature helps both technical and non-technical teams analyze data quickly. Users can also process longer inputs or files, thanks to the new 32k context.
Jorge Zuniga, Head of Data Systems and Integrations at Asana, highlighted the platform’s efficiency, stating that it has reduced research time by an average of an hour per day, thus increasing productivity. Danny Wu, Head of AI Products at Canva, praised ChatGPT Enterprise as a “true enabler of productivity” with secure data privacy control.
Available starting today, ChatGPT Enterprise features include higher-speed performance for GPT-4, unlimited access to GPT-4, advanced data analysis, and shareable chat templates for company-wide collaboration. OpenAI also provides free API credits for those seeking a fully custom solution.
OpenAI plans to introduce additional features, including customization, availability for all team sizes, more powerful versions of Advanced Data Analysis, and tools for specific roles.
