There is a lot of excitement in the Shiba Inu community. The excitement comes after the meme coin’s pseudonymous developer, Shytoshi Kusama, updated his Twitter status, suggesting that the network could be close to a new release.

Shiba Inu developer posts cryptic tweet

The Shiba Inu developer took to Twitter to post a new status update that read, “On the 1st day… my true love gave to me…” The developer also updated his Twitter location to “Close.” The status and location update suggested a new release could be on the way.

Some members of the Shiba Inu community have speculated that the message indicates that the release of Shibarium could be on the way. Shibarium is a layer two solution for the Shiba Inu blockchain.

The launch of Shibarium was initially proposed by one of the anonymous founders of Shiba Inu, known as Ryoshi. He proposed the launch of this solution in May last year. At the time, he said that Shibarium would increase the scalability of the Shiba Inu network by lowering fees and improving the speed at which transactions are processed.

The status message posted by Kusama could hint that the release date for Shibarium could be on the way. The team plans to release this scaling solution on January 1, 2023. The launch could be a significant development for the Shiba Inu ecosystem and trigger notable gains for the meme coin.

No certainty on the exact release date for Shibarium

The speculation on when the Shibarium scaling solution will be released should be considered cautiously, given that the launch has often fallen out of schedule. The Shiba Inu development team has not provided specific dates for the project’s release.

The Unification Foundation, which is the organization involved in developing Shibarium, announced that the launch of the public beta testing phase for the Shibarium solution would be released during the third quarter of 2022. However, this never happened. The delay has resulted in the members of the Shiba Inu community demanding answers about the development progress of the solution.

Over the past months, Kusama has been informing the Shiba Inu developer community that the launch of Shibarium will happen soon. However, the developer has not provided an official timeline for this launch.

The pseudonymous SHIB developer has remained silent on Twitter for nearly a month. Besides the recent status update, he had also posted a tweet where he revealed plans for a possible partnership with the World Economic Forum.

In the tweet, Kusama had asked the Shiba Inu community to vote on a possible collaboration with the WEF, to which most of the Shiba Inu community voted on working with the organization.

“We have been kindly invited to work with the World Economic Forum as it pertains to their MV global policy. Would love to know what you all think because it’s not our decision, but yours,” Kusama’s Twitter poll read.
