The ‘Journey Stamps’ created by Starbucks are selling well, with a floor price of $2,000 for one NFT collection.
Starbucks Odyssey NFTs are being feverishly traded by members and employees. In December, the coffee giant launched its Beta experience to selected participants in the US. In the last month, the sales volume of the Starbucks ‘Holiday Cheer Edition 1’ stamp has steadily risen to over $100,000.
In fact, the last ‘Holiday Cheer Edition 1’ Stamp sold for $1,9000, according to Nifty Gateway. There are 5,000 editions of this NFT, and the Stamp unlocks various benefits and immersive coffee experiences.
How it works
Starbucks Odyssey NFTs reside on the Polygon blockchain. Moreover, you can buy Stamps using a credit card, without the need to own any cryptocurrency. Initially, the Odyssey experience was opened to a small community of Starbucks members and employees. Now, that number of owners is steadily rising, and the floor price for the ‘Holiday Cheer Edition 1’ stamp has risen to over $2,000.
In essence, to access the Starbucks Odyssey experience, members will be invited to join the experience. First, they need to use their Starbucks Rewards login gain access. Then, they complete a series of interactive activities or ‘Journeys’.
Once a Journey is complete, members will be awarded a collectible ‘Journey Stamp’ (a Polygon-based NFT). Furthermore, as the owner of a Journey Stamp, you can hold on and reap the benefits, or trade it on the marketplace.
Starbucks Odyssey collections
Altogether, there are four Starbucks Odyssey NFT collections. Currently, ‘Holiday Cheer Edition 1’ is the most popular collection with traders. Considering it was the first ever Starbucks drop, collectors may be speculating on the future value of the collection. Besides, the collection may hold sentimental value with Starbucks members and employees especially.
As for the other three collections, trading volume is minimal in comparison. In fact, the floor price for ‘Coffee Heritage’ is $225, ‘Bean to Cup’ is $85, and the most recent collection ‘Doing Good’ is $60.
One thing is for certain, Starbucks knows how to engage its community. Indeed, the company is onboarding millions of its members into Web3 in a fun and seamless way. What is more, the company plans to leverage Web3 as an extension of its popular rewards scheme – so watch out for more limited edition Stamps in the near future.
