Last day, the DOGS token was launched on the Ton blockchain network, causing significant pressure as a huge number of people started transacting DOGS tokens.

The release of the DOGS token also caused a huge network load on several crypto exchanges, and some wallet functions stopped working. Bybit crypto exchange said that due to a surge in user activity, its application was interrupted for a time but was later restored.

A Crypto X user noted that Ton blockchain performed at its highest potential of 280 TPS, which is -99.49% less than the theoretical highest scalability claimed by the Ton blockchain community.

Now, it will be interesting to see whether the Ton community will respond to this theoretical vs. real performance of the Ton blockchain, or if they will work to push Ton blockchain to the scalability of 55k TPS.

$TON Price Struggle

Here, the struggle is not only for the Ton blockchain but also for its native token. The current trade price of $TON coin is $5.42, and this price is 18% down over the last 7-day period.

Although the Telegram platform is independent of Ton blockchain, Telegram is a strong avenue for Ton blockchain adoption. As we know, the Telegram platform is facing some regulatory heat in France, making it natural for the Ton token to face a downfall.
