As the next presidential debate approaches, the crypto community members are on high alert, wondering if Donald Trump or Kamala Harris will take up the topic of Cryptocurrency. With Trump criticizing crypto back in 2019 to accepting cryptocurrency this year during the campaigns and Kamala Harris with her skeptical moves, the polls on Polymarket are buzzing about what topics these two might cover. 

Trump’s Potential Crypto Mention

Former President Trump had called cryptocurrency fake and questioned their legitimacy back in the day but with his recent speeches and announcements, where he talks about making America the crypto capital of the world, the crypto community is at the edge as according to Polymarket only 18% of the voters think that this topic will be taken up by the candidate. 

Kamala Harris and Crypto: A Wild Card

Vice President Kamala Harris’s views on cryptocurrency remain largely unknown as her focus has been more on social and economic policies. The growing significance of cryptocurrency might push her to address it but according to the polymarket insights, the chances seem to be slim as only 14% of the voters think that Harris could bring up this topic during the debate. 

Speculation Around a Trump Coin

There has been another poll on Polymarket that states that 41% of the people believe that there could be a possibility of Trump launching his cryptocurrency before the elections. Even though the idea is speculative, such a move could strengthen his base and could attract younger voters. The crypto community is intrigued by the concept of “Trump Coin”. However till any concrete announcements are made, these just remain rumors circulating within the community.

As the debate approaches, both the crypto community and political analysts are eagerly waiting to see if digital currencies will make it to the headlines or not.
