Bybit has announced the launch of the Velocity Series, an innovative fusion of art, racing, and technology. The collaboration sees Bybit, Oracle Red Bull Racing, and an impressive lineup of digital artists joining forces to create unique digital collectibles inspired by the telemetry and racing data from the F1 dominating RB19 car.

The Velocity Series marks the debut collaboration between a Formula 1 team and renowned digital artists, widely praised for their talent and success. Among these artists is Dutch artist Rik Oostenbroek, known for his dynamic shapes and abstract forms that traverse a multi-disciplinary spectrum.

The Velocity Series and Exclusive Pass

Under the curatorship of AOI, a progressive foundation for emerging art and technology, the Velocity Series is structured into four releases. These releases coincide with the Dutch, Japanese, US, and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix throughout the 2023 Formula 1 season, although specific drop dates may be subject to change. Each release will showcase various NFT collections, including limited-edition NFT collections accessible exclusively to Velocity Pass holders and an open-edition sale available to the public.

The Velocity Pass, a first of its kind from a motorsport team, is a dynamic piece of art that changes throughout the season. Besides being a premium NFT, the pass offers art enthusiasts first-hand access to the ongoing Velocity Series narrative, boasting a wealth of utilities.

At every Velocity Series release, pass holders can purchase these date-driven creations from the artists. Moreover, each release also grants pass holders a complimentary open-edition NFT, enhancing their collections’ value. Furthermore, pass holders can experience Oracle Red Bull Racing events first-hand and stand a chance to win rare prizes from Oracle Red Bull Racing and Bybit.

The ‘Essence of the Team’s Prowess’

Key figures from Oracle Red Bull Racing and Bybit have expressed their excitement and optimism about the project, the Velocity Series. Caroline Buckland, the Head of Fan Engagement at Oracle Red Bull Racing, emphasized the unique appeal of the limited edition NFTs and their alignment with the team’s progressive performance, stating, “We are extremely excited about teaming up with Bybit and this group of hugely talented artists for the Velocity Series. The NFTs released as part of the series are limited editions and truly capture the essence of the Team’s prowess and progressive performance. Each collection is unique to the artists’ particular style, making them highly sought after by collectors and fans.”

Established in 2018, Bybit has grown to become the world’s third most frequented cryptocurrency exchange. Anndy Lian, Head of Partnerships at Bybit, echoed this excitement and spoke about the strategic value of the collaboration, “As long-term and strategic partners, Bybit and Oracle Red Bull Racing are excited to launch the Velocity Series, which brings together the creative talents of some of the world’s best digital artists with cutting-edge technology, enabling us to leverage our respective strengths and further advance our position in the rapidly-evolving Web3 era.”
