Fruition Productions is set to release the first Ripple documentary, titled ‘XRP Unleashed’ this year. The film covers the story of Ripple and its popular cryptocurrency, XRP. This release comes as Ripple faces legal challenges, including a recent $125 million fine, which many still view as a victory that could reshape the narrative around XRP.
In a conversation with Jake Claver, producer Maia shared that they are planning a series of premieres in November before the release of their project on social media. They are in the final stages of confirming the theaters and expect everything to be finalized within the next week and a half. The premieres will take place in seven cities, including Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Washington D.C., New York, Boston, and Arizona.
They are very close to finalizing the theater locations, and by the first week of October, an announcement will be made on Fruition Films’ X (formerly Twitter) account. This announcement will provide the exact dates and cities, and ticket pre-sales will begin on Fruition Productions’ website (fruitionproductions.com) during that time.
They are aiming to make the official announcement on October 8th or 9th, depending on whether the SEC will appeal a certain decision. For the unversed, by October 7, 2024, the SEC must decide whether to appeal the recent ruling in Ripple’s favor. Some believe the SEC’s chances of overturning the case are slim, and even if an appeal is filed, it may not have a major impact on the final outcome.
When asked why they decided to make a film about XRP, she shared that she entered the crypto world around 2017-2018, starting with Bitcoin. Like many others, they made mistakes early on, learning not to be driven by emotions when dealing with the markets.
She encouraged viewers to come with an open mind, prepared to learn about connections between elite companies, individuals, and the financial system that many people are unaware of. The goal of the film is to wake people up to the reality of what’s happening in real-time, whether or not they choose to invest in crypto, the metaverse, or any future technologies.
